Code Name Verity, Elizabeth Wein

A book I think I'll read again. Right now.

So this is where I put a description. But. I don't want to give anything away. This book's description gives away A LOT. If you really need to read it, read the one on GoodReads.com (click here), it's not the same as the one inside the book and I don't know why, but it doesn't give away anything! It's just better if you don't read it altogether, though.

Seriously, once you finish it, you have to read it again.

This might be a short review (might not, I don't know) just because there is so much I can't say!

Oh, also, if you're planning on reading this book DO NOT read the inside cover right before you read it! Or the back cover, or wherever the description/summary is. It gives away something that is more fun to figure out in the end.

The setting is WWII, and, yeah. Basically that's it. I won't/shouldn't tell you more. Reading about it is more than half the fun, so if I tell you anymore, it'll ruin it and won't be any fun.

Sorry.

The main character has no name. At least, you don't know her name for a really long time. So I won't mention it. I can give you this much because it is the very first page (I think) where you find it out:  She is a spy, captured by the Germans during WWII. I've had lots of people ask me so yes, this book is fiction. I really like this main character. Although she's captured and her future looks pretty dark, she's still got humor in her. I like that, although really, if I was in her position, I'd be cryin' my eyes out. Which is what she does, too. Actually. It's very realistic. You'll see.

The second--well, crap. I can't say that either. Sorry. I'm so sorry.

BUT SERIOUSLY. This book is SO good. I can't even describe how freaking good this is! Oh my GOD! I just--I almost threw the book across the room! I don't usually harm my books but I almost jumped out of my bed and threw the book! Not because it was bad or frustrating, it was just SO GOOD.

I can't say a word! I am so sorry! Hopefully the next review will be better, but I promise you that you'll probably love this book so you should read it or rent it or borrow it! Or whatever!
